Even as most of the FMCG companies outperformed the bourses in recent years, GCPL has been an under-performer. For instance, while stocks of most frontline FMCG companies are trading at or near their record highs, the GCPL stock was trading nearly 30 per cent below its record high hit in 2018 before the new CEO announcement.
