In September 2016, the capital markets regulator had asked NSE to deposit the revenue generated from offering co-location services into a separate account. NSE was not allowed to use those funds. According to the latest financial statements of the exchange, the account had Rs 6,085 crore worth of funds and investments as on March 31.
