UP now second in daily rise in cases; Lucknow under pressure

UP reported 18,021 new cases on Tuesday, a record since the onset of the pandemic, besides 85 deaths. Almost 30% rise in cases was in Lucknow which reported 5,382 cases, followed by Prayagraj, Varanasi and Kanpur, all above 1,000 cases each.
