House panel flags rise in trafficking of women and children, domestic violence

Taking cognisance of rise in domestic violence during Covid-19, the committee said, “this was mainly due to disruption in economic activities, work from home and family spending more time at home during lockdowns. Female migrant workers and their children were trafficked and had gone missing during lockdowns.”
