Black Money Act: Income Tax department clears the air on appeals

Close to the fiscal closing, tax authorities have cleared the fog over the appeal process under one of the toughest laws in the country. The Income Tax (I-T) Department has now uploaded on its website a March 23 internal directive assigning commissioners in each city the responsibility to acknowledge appeals filed manually under the black money law.
