Assembly elections: Congress aims to seal pacts this week, name candidates next week onwards

All India Congress Committee (AICC) functionaries expressed confidence of stitching up seat-sharing agreements with the party’s allies for these polls within days. Though the Congress is facing stiff bargaining for seats from its allies, especially the DMK's insistence on the Congress settling for far fewer seats than it is seeking, the AICC is hopeful of an "amicable solution”.
