Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from PMNRF for the next of kin of those killed and Rs 50,000 each for seriously injured. Among those missing were several women and children. Modi reviewed the situation and spoke to chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. “He took stock of the rescue and relief work underway,” said the PMO in a tweet.
