The meeting took place a day after the Supreme Court asked the police to decide on the entry of farmers protesting against the central farm laws in the national capital on January 26. The protesting farmer unions have announced a tractor rally on the Outer Ring Road on Republic Day. Delhi Police is also responsible for maintaining security for the President and Prime Minister's residence.
