RJD targets JDU vote bank, fields two dozen extremely backward class candidates

This is being seen as RJD’s attempt to add a “third vote-bank” to its core Muslim-Yadav support base, which has still cornered 75 out of the 144 tickets. What has surprised many is RJD giving tickets to a dozen upper castes and around 24 EBCs, compared to only two tickets to upper castes and four to EBCs in the last assembly polls.
